Gayle is a “*Spunky Old Broad”. An expert advisor to CEOs and entrepreneurial managers around the world; co-founder of the Internet Association of Information Marketers; author of 4 books; featured in USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and on the Larry King radio show, ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox; and in 2007 was selected as a Legend of the Speaking Profession.
Sam Davidson - "Simplifying Your Life"
President, Cool People Care
Sam Davidson is an author, speaker, and entrepreneur who tells stories that need telling. In 2006, he launched his first company, Cool People Care. This media and merchandise company has raised over $125,000 to date for charities all over the world. Since then, he has launched or helped to launch several other ventures, and in the process has helped entrepreneurs and business owners properly focus on what matters in work and in life.
He is the author of three books, the most recent of which is Simplify Your Life. The book has become a tool and resource for anyone looking to get rid of the distractions and obstacles that often prevent them from living the life they want and pursuing a lifelong dream. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and conventions around the U.S., helping small businesses and nonprofit organizations better tell their stories to customers, fans, and employees.
Jose L. Garcia-Aponte - "Embracing Struggles to Develop a Mentality of Victory and Triumph"
Co-Founder, Operation Giveback
Jose L. Garcia-Aponte retired after 28 years of honorable service to his nation as a US ARMY soldier in 2009 as a Command Sergeant Major at Program Executive Office of Simulation Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) in Orlando, Florida. In June 2005 he was awarded the Soldiers Medal for saving the life of another soldier. He is the cofounder of the “One By One Foundation”, an organization developed to reach, serve, and assist the beach, street, and homeless people residing in the west side of Oahu, Hawaii. Jose and his wife are also the founders of the “Operation Giveback” an organization developed to raise awareness, enthusiasm, and resources for the "Wounded Warrior Men and Women".
Jose holds an MBA and has completed 12 credits toward a Ph.D. in Business Administration. He is certified by Toastmasters International, fluent in Spanish and has been married to his best friend, Maribel, for 26 years.
Michael Irwin, CDS CDT - "An Overview and Understanding of CSA-Compliance, Safety, Accountability"
Director of Safety & Quality Assurance, DEKRA CFPS
Michael T. Irwin, CDS CDT is currently the director of safety and quality assurance for Dekra CFPS, bringing with him over 35 years of experience in the transportation industry. Michael has worked with federal, state and local officials to address a broad range of truck safety issues. Michael was appointed to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC) in 2006.
Formerly, as the Executive Director of the Michigan Center for Truck Safety, Michael has significant experience with motor carrier safety issues. He has been intimately involved in every aspect of the transportation industry including diesel technician, CMV Driver, CMV Law Enforcement with the Michigan State Police Traffic Safety Division and as Executive Director of the Michigan Center for Truck Safety.
Chris Kuehl - "Economic Review and Outlook"

Co-founder and Managing Director of Armada Corporate Intelligence, a company created in 1999 to provide strategy foundation, competitive intelligence, business analysis and economic forecasting for corporate clients. Armada’s clients include TranSystems, Baader Manufacturing, Spencer Fane Britt and Browne, KPMG, Hallmark International, Americo Insurance and others.
Chris is the economist for the National Association of Credit Managers, Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, Missouri Society of CPAs, The Kentucky Society of CPAs, The National Association of Lighting Manufacturers, Riemer Reporting Service and others.
In addition to the over 100 speeches given each year, Chris is a frequent commentator for the media – locally and nationally – and has been extensively quoted in national newspapers, magazines and trade publications.

- Business Intelligence Briefs – a daily distributed through Chambers of Commerce throughout the US focused on US economic and business issues

Daniel Murray - "Calculating the Operational Costs of Trucking"
Vice President, Research, ATRI
Dan is the Vice President of Research for the American Transportation Research Institute. ATRI conducts objective research, analysis and evaluation on a range of freight transportation issues relating to safety, technology, productivity and security.
Dan has overall responsibility for directing ATRI’s portfolio of research initiatives, and has served as project manager on transportation research sponsored by multiple local, state and federal agencies. He also has served on various transportation research committees for organizations such as the National Research Council, TRB, and General Accounting Office and Council on Competitiveness.
Peter Taglia - "Natural Gas, the Future or a Fad?"
Environmental Geologist, Research, Wisconsin State Energy Office
Peter Taglia is a professional geologist and consultant in numerous aspects of energy policy, transportation fuels and scientific analysis of these systems. Peter has done extensive work with the Wisconsin Public Utility Institute, Wisconsin's Task Force on Global Warming, transportation advisory groups to the Midwestern Governors Association and the Wisconsin Legislative Council. Peter has recently organized educational symposiums on the emerging markets for transportation fuels from the utility sector (both electricity and natural gas) and leading sessions on CNG opportunities for fleet owners. Peter began his career conducting contaminant investigations, remediation, and environmental permitting at energy facilities and currently performs research, analysis and education for clients in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Peter's current projects include leading Wisconsin's natural gas vehicle fuel roundtable on behalf of Wisconsin's State Energy Office, environmental consulting for local community organizations and energy analyses for the UW Madison. Prior to independent consulting, Peter worked for Clean Wisconsin, an environmental organization, and RMT, an environmental engineering firm. Peter holds a B.A. in environmental geology from the University of Montana and a M.S. in hydrogeology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Jim Van Den Elzen - "Creating Future Drivers"
President/Owner, Drivings-cool, inc.
After a 20 year career as an over-the-road truck driver Jim Van Den Elzen returned to school receiving an electronics degree from Northwest Wisconsin Technical College. He went on to work for 10 years in the insurance business before he saw a need for driving training, driver safety programs and most recently driver recruitment.
Today as President of drivings-cool, inc. Jim’s goal is to educate students across the United States in alternative careers in the transportation industry through scheduled visits using a mobile classroom equipped with a driving simulator.
An integral part of drivings-cool, inc. is students will be offered a “commit to commit” contract. It can be accessed through their web-site where a student can sign up for a scholarship and when they reach high school graduation may be eligible for up to $25,000 towards further education in a related field.

Managing Editor, The Truck Blue Book
Terry has been the Managing Editor of The Truck Blue Book for the past ten years overseeing all aspects of the valuation process for commercial vehicles for Penton Media's Price Digest Group. In that time a growing foundation has been built of dealers and manufacturers actively engaged with The Truck Blue Book to present the most accurate market values possible. Prior to joining The Truck Blue Book Terry worked for Volvo Trucks North America's truck remarketing group in progressively responsible positions in Kansas City (Arrow Truck Sales), Greensboro, NC and Salt Lake City, UT.
